Meat in technology and human nutrition


Traditional and regional technologies and products
in human nutrition

Lublin, Poland 25-26 September 2008


Aim of the Conference

The aim of the Conference is to present current knowledge on production, properties, quality and safety of traditional and regional food products.
We hope that the Conference will provide a good opportunity to make contacts between scientific institutions in order to promote regional products
and knowledge about their quality and safety.


Scientific program

  1. Traditional technologies in processing of food of animal origin.

  2. Food safety of traditional and regional products.

  3. Law regulations, requirements and protection of regional and traditional products - market, developments and promotion of the regions.

  4. Tradition and future vs. quality of food of animal origin.


During the conference are planned

1. Plenary sessions

2. Poster sessions and oral presentations

3. Presentations of manufacturers of traditional and regional products

4. Exhibition of traditional and regional products

Oral presentations and posters will be grouped according to the topics
of the Conference. Oral presentations are limited to 15 minutes.


Conference venue

The Conference will take place at the Faculty of Food Sciences
and Biotechnology building in Lublin.

On the 27th of September 2008 a tour to Lwow (Ukraine) is planned


Conference language

The official languages of the Conference will be Polish, English and Russian.

Conference fee

Conference fee 150 Euro, includes: Conference attendance, the book
of abstracts, Conference banquet, coffee breaks, lunches, social events)
.

Hotels prices are not included - hotels booking by Conference Committee (more details will be given in the second announcement).


Manuscripts of selected papers will be recommended for publishing
in the following journals:

ACTA Scientiarum Polonorum. Technologia Alimentaria,

Electronic Journal of Polish Agricultural Universities,

Żywność. Nauka. Technologia. Jakość.

Papers will be published on the basis of the regulations of the journals


Deadlines:

Registration: 31 January 2008

Sending abstracts and full articles: 31 March 2008

Paying the fee: 30 June 2008
